Curbside Chronicle, a local magazine that works towards rehabilitating the homeless population in Oklahoma, puts together a Zoo issue every year. This issue works in collaboration with the Oklahoma City Zoo, and even includes two free admission tickets for anyone that buys a copy of the magazine. I had the privilege of contributing a full page illustration for this year’s Zoo issue! The artwork needed to include a few animals, and basically just show the reader what a fun experience lies in store for anyone that visits the Okc Zoo.
Being a big fan of animals myself, this illustration allowed me to tie that in with my experiences at the Okc Zoo. I included the Elephant Sanctuary, the camel rides, the flamingo exhibit as well as the adorable red pandas! It was a blast to work on this artwork, and I can’t wait to work on more editorial pieces.
